State Constitutions Posted by Anna
This is one of the most interesting posts I've read in a while as it apparently defies the Liberal's idea of 'Seperation of Church and State'. Clearly, not only the forefathers of the this country, but the founders of each individual state recognized the authority of God, and paid tribute to Him in their preambles.
Anna has published some very important information that I think is crucial to the existence of our country, the greatest nation on God's Green Earth.
State Constitutions

My Dad often sends me very interesting emails. This particular one shows that not only did our Founding Fathers refer to God and Creator in our Declaration of Independence and Preamble to the Constitution, but each state in their individual state constitutions did as well. Even Alaska and Hawaii, neither of which become states until January and August 1959 (respectively), have God and/or Divine Guidance in the preamble to their state constitutions. Here are just a few, but you can look up your own state’s constitution and see that they also referred to God, Creator, the Almighty God and so on.
Arizona: We, the people of the State of Arizona, grateful to Almighty God for our liberties, do ordain this Constitution.
California: We, the People of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings, do establish this Constitution.
Florida: We, the people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional liberty, in order to secure its benefits, perfect our government, insure domestic tranquility, maintain public order, and guarantee equal civil and political rights to all, do ordain and establish this constitution.
New York: We, the people of the State of New York, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure its blessings, do establish this constitution.
Ohio: We, the people of the State of Ohio, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, to secure its blessings and promote our common welfare, do establish this Constitution.
It’s interesting that some have very unique references to a higher power. For example, Colorado refers to “Supreme Ruler of the Universe,” while Maine refers to “the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe.” It’s also interesting that while looking up this information I found that there are states wishing to amend their state constitution’s preamble. I know that Arizona is one such state. I encourage you to look up your state constitution with its preamble. You may find that the “PC Police” or ACLU have been working to get that reference to God removed.
(Information originally received in an email, though verified by looking up the individual state constitutions online whether through historical documentation and/or state websites.)
