The truth about Haditha

May 31, 2006
by Michelle Malkin

Democrat Rep. John "Cut and Run" Murtha thinks he knows the truth about Haditha -- and he has been blabbing it to every last cable show host that will host him. The loose-lipped former Marine has accused troops of wantonly killing some two dozen civilians, including children, "in cold blood" in the terrorist stronghold in Iraq last November. There are two ongoing military investigations into the incident itself and the actions of higher-ups in the Haditha aftermath.

Let me repeat that: The investigations are ongoing. Not complete. Official reports aren't expected for several weeks...

Wounded Soldier Sues Michael Moore

Via NY Post

A double-amputee Iraq-war vet is suing Michael Moore for $85 million, claiming the portly peacenik recycled an old interview and used it out of context to make him appear anti-war in “Fahrenheit 9/11.”

Sgt. Peter Damon, 33, who strongly supports America’s invasion of Iraq, said he never agreed to be in the 2004 movie, which trashes President Bush.

In the 2003 interview, which he did at Walter Reed Army Hospital for NBC News, he discussed only a new painkiller the military was using on wounded vets. “They took the clip because it was a gut-wrenching scene,” Damon said yesterday. “They sandwiched it in. [Moore] was using me as ammunition.”

Damon seems to “voice complaint about the war effort” in the movie, according to the lawsuit.
But what the father of two from Middleborough, Mass., was really talking about was the “excruciating” pain he felt after he lost his arms when a Black Hawk helicopter exploded in front of him. Damon wasn’t expressing any opinion about the war, the suit charges, but rather extolling the drug.

“I just want everybody to know what kind of a guy Michael Moore is, and what kind of film this is,” said Damon. He has appeared in two films attacking “Fahrenheit” -“Michael Moore Hates America” and “Fahrenhype 9/11.” …

Particularly outrageous to Damon is the fact that Moore never interviewed him or asked his permission to use the old clip.

Taking Care of Business: Fraud Alert

OK, fellow Military friends and Family members whose Identity was compromised by the V.A.,

I was able to call the automated line at Equifax this morning and place a fraud Alert in my name. The Phone No is 1 888-766-0008. Follow the prompts.

After you have placed a fraud alert on your account, Equifax will also notify the other 2 credit reporting agencies.

In doing this, you create a level of security that will notify you before any account can be opened in your name. It also gives you 1 free credit report and stays active for 90 days.

It will not protect you from folks who use an existing account that you have open, but will prevent an unauthorized account to be opened.

Food For Thought

A 92-year-old, small, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eighto'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window. "I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied. "Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is aranged... it's how I arrange my mind. I have already decided to love it."

"It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. You see, I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do."

"Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life."

Imagine that... People who actually see the glass as half full instead of half empty.

I know that sometimes, it's difficult to have such a positive outlook on life, but Mrs. Gawfer and I are trying to teach our children to think and behave based on what they know is right... Not on how they feel, because feelings are never the basis for truth.

Bush Signs Funeral Protest Ban Into Law

by Jay on 05-29-06 @ 3:08 pm

Happy Memorial Day! What better way to mark Memorial Day than to protect the respect and honor our fallen heroes so deserve? That is exactly what President Bush did today when he signed this bill into law. There is a time and place for protests, and a funeral should not be one of them.

President Bush marked Memorial Day by signing a bill that keeps demonstrators from disrupting military funerals.

Before heading to Arlington National Cemetery for a wreath laying and speech, Mr. Bush signed the “Respect for America’s Fallen Heroes Act.”

It was passed mainly in response to a Kansas church group that has staged protests at military funerals around the country.

The group says the deaths in Iraq and elsewhere show that God is angry over U.S. tolerance of gays.

The law prevents protests within 300 feet of the entrance of a national cemetery.
Even as Mr. Bush signed the bill, members of the Kansas group stood about 300 feet from the entrance to Arlington.

They held signs that read, “Thank God for dead soldiers,” and “‘Bush killed them.”

A conservative group supporting the troops stood across the highway, holding a large sign calling troops “American heroes.”

Gov. Rick Perry signed a bill earlier this month that authorizes an immediate ban on protests at military funerals in Texas.

It was also drafted with members of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan. in mind.
Church members protested earlier this year at the funeral for a solider in Temple.

“There is a time and place for protests, but it is not at funerals and burials for U.S. soldiers who died to protect the freedoms we hold so dear,” Perry said as he signed the measure.KWTX

Thank you, Mr. President.

Shots Fired At Capitol Hill

Post From: Stop the ACLU

The Capitol complex was locked down on Friday after reports of gunfire in a garage and a separate report that a man had a gun in a Rayburn Office Building gym.

“At 10:30 this morning, we received a report of shots fired inside the Rayburn garage,” Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, a public information officer for the Capitol Police, said.

“At this time, we continue to investigate. We have tactical teams inside the building.”
She said there was no indication that anyone had been hurt.

CNN’s Dana Bash said the Capitol was reopened, and there were conflicting reports it was closed for a second time after two women reported a man with a gun inside a Rayburn gym.

A senior law enforcement source told CNN’s Brian Todd that police were investigating the possibility that the man may have been a plainclothes officer.

Law enforcement expert Mike Brooks said he had not heard any reports of victims or physical evidence of gunfire.

He noted that Capitol Police have a firing range in the basement, but a congressional source said the shots were not heard from that level.

Business continued as usual on the Senate side, Bash said.
The Containment and Emergency Response Team was searching the area, Brooks said. (Capitol area)

CNN’s Ted Barrett said people were moving outside the Rayburn about an hour after the report came in. That was “probably a good sign,” he said.

Five ambulances, “a ton of police cars and a ton of cops” were also there, but there was no indication of any immediate threat, Barrett said.

“It certainly is calm and controlled at this point,” he said. “The police do not seem overly concerned that there might be a gunman loose at this point.”

The alert came moments after a press conference held by Rep. John Sensenbrenner on immigration reform, CNN producer Deidre Walsh said.

“We saw several Capitol Hill police officers running quickly down the hallway,” she said. Soon after that an announcement was made throughout the building.

Man faces manslaughter charge after tollway crash

Wednesday, May 17, 2006
Excessive speed is suspected in the head-on collision on the 241 tollway that killed a recent retiree.
By JOHN McDONALD The Orange County Register

Nancy Donahue-Reddish

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA - A woman who retired two weeks ago was killed Tuesday when a car went out of control on the Foothill (241) Toll Road, crossed the median and crashed into her Lexus head-on.

The other driver, Javier Hernandez Nelso, 29, of Moreno Valley, suffered major injuries and was arrested on suspicion of felony manslaughter, the California Highway Patrol said.

"He was driving at such a high rate of speed that it amounted to reckless driving," CHP officer Chris Goodwin said.

The victim, Nancy Donahue-Reddish, 65, of San Clemente, was headed to Hemet to help her ailing father, said her son, Todd Donahue.

She was the former director of benefits for TriZetto Group Inc. and had "saved and saved to be retired and not be a burden on her kids," her son said.

Nelso's arrest came after investigators concluded from tire marks that his speed was excessive, Goodwin said.

"It appears he lost control when he drifted onto the right shoulder," Goodwin said. "Then he went across two (southbound) traffic lanes, each 12 feet wide, and the center divider. The center divider is dirt and weeds and it's 70 feet wide. Then he went across a traffic lane on the northbound side and hit the woman's car in the No. 2 lane. She would never have suspected a car could come that far across to hit her."

The crash occurred about 7:20 a.m. about a mile south of Antonio Parkway.

Victor Javier Lopez, 26, of Moreno Valley, a passenger in Nelso's Mercury Sable, was flown to Mission Hospital and was reported in critical condition.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, authorities said.

Donahue-Reddish also is survived by two daughters, two brothers and six grandchildren.

Nancy was the mother of a former coworker and friend. What John McDonald from the Orange County Register failed to include in his report was:

  1. Javier Hernandez Nelso is an "Undocumented Immigrant" living in Moreno Valley, CA
  2. Javier Hernandez Nelso was driving an unregistered vehicle
  3. Javier Hernandez Nelso was driving without Auto Insurance
  4. Javier Hernandez Nelso was driving without a Driver's Liciense

Tooling around Urozgan in an unarmored Land Cruiser without guards makes thoughts of going home and becoming a farmer appealing. Earlier that day, when we’d visited a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Tarin Kot, a US Army lieutenant colonel mentioned there was intelligence that the enemy was trying to kidnap some foreign contractors. We didn’t need the CIA to tell us we were fair game, but the Army suspecting we might actually be the targets raised the concern meter. The military part of my mind suspected even that base could be overrun...

RE: Republican Presidential Task Force

Elizabeth Dole
Chair, Republican Presidential
Task Force

Dear Elizabeth,

First of all, I would like you to know that you are doing a great job for the Task Force. However, as far as the Republican Party and the Republican agenda is concerned, it has been a disaster. The Republicans seem to have lost their way and are stumbling in the dark trying to find their way.

It should have been easy - all they had to do is to follow Reagan's vision and his ideals. Instead the Republicans have become the followers of the Democrats and not the leaders in ideas and initiatives. The party has become one of reaction to the Democrats and not a party of action. I am sorry to say, but I no longer seem to know what the "Party" is all about.

Yes, everyone does talk, and everyone promises to do great things in the future, but in the last 6 years, except for the wars, nothing else has happened. Yes, the war was justified, but yes, it should have been won by now. I have spent time in a war without end, and in a war without courage and determination - it was Vietnam.

Are we that stupid again not to have learned anything about fighting a war?

I also live in California. It is difficult to find qualified people that can speak English, or that are hear legally. Please don't tell me we have just discovered another mystery about our borders? Another mystery about illegal immigration? Another mystery about our security?

Republicans have been in charge for the last 6 years - and they have been asleep at the wheel of our nation.

Speaking of mysteries, how about our energy policy? Did we not have an energy crisis in 1973?Did we not promise to do something about it? What happened? Yes, we have many reasons for not doing anything about it, but not in the last 6 years! Brazil, converted long ago!

Last but not least, would like to know what happened to the Republican slogan that we believed in "God, Family, and Country"? We no longer can use "God" in schools. We no longer believe that a family should consist of a father and a mother. And, is there still just one country, or we must accept Mexico as our own?

Have I given you enough reasons why it is very, very difficult to believe and to support the Republican party? I wish I still had a choice, unfortunately there is no alternative solution.

A very disappointed member.

Compromised Personal Information

I, along with several bloggers, and 26 million other American Veterans recently had our ID's stolen from someone's house... House? what the heck was that disc doing in that guy's house anyway?!

Evidently, this crime occured on the 3rd of May... Wait a minute! That was 3 weeks ago! And the VA is just now telling us?! Can you say "Cover up" gone bad? I thought'cha could.

Having a chat this morning with my bud Texas Fred, I found out that unless there is a class action suit filed against the Veteran's Administration, We're all screwed!

According to the VA, we should all monitor our credit reports to insure no unauthorized accounts have been opened in our names... Oh Really?! And who is going to foot the bill for continuous monitoring of our credit reports?

TF's comment was "don't expect any help from the VA... it's next to impossible to even get an asprin out'a those guys"...

Oh, that sounds promising indeed...

Senate Votes to Reward Rank Criminality
Washington Times

Illegals granted Social Security

The Senate voted yesterday to allow illegal aliens to collect Social Security benefits based on past illegal employment -- even if the job was obtained through forged or stolen documents.

"There was a felony they were committing, and now they can't be prosecuted. That sounds like amnesty to me," said Sen. John Ensign, the Nevada Republican who offered the amendment yesterday to strip out those provisions of the immigration reform bill.

"It just boggles the mind how people could be against this amendment." The Ensign amendment was defeated on a 50-49

Boy, doesn't this give you a warm and fuzzy feeling... like you just wet your pants?

From: ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 -- CASE OF THE PREGNANT LADY

I appologize if this offends anyone...

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat.

This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more amused.

When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver, and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court. The judge asked the man(about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself.

The man replied, "Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are coming,' and I grinned."

"Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling', and I had to smile."

"Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, 'William's Big Stick did the trick,' and I could hardly contain myself."

"BUT, your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this accident'... I just lost it."

"CASE DISMISSED!!"

Jodie Foster unhinged

May 19, 2006
by Mike Gallagher

I am so relieved to discover that movie star Jodie Foster thinks that America is in worse shape than it was four years ago and that the graduating class of the University of Pennsylvania needs to march out and do something about it, as in voting for Democrats. Funny, just the other day I remember thinking about how worried I am about Miss Foster’s assessment of our country as we struggle with illegal immigration, high gas prices, and most importantly, the war against Islamic lunatics. Thankfully, her commencement address at Penn recently cleared up any confusion about the “Flightplan” star’s political beliefs...

http://tinyurl.com/lrbhq

...And yet when someone who has a legitimate and powerful role on the world stage is invited to be a commencement speaker, but is a vital part of the Bush Administration, the list of protests by faculty and students is a mile long. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice might just be the perfect commencement speaker, a black woman who rose from poverty to become an architect of foreign policy and a widely respected member of a presidential cabinet. No less than two hundred faculty members signed a letter of protest after Boston College invited Dr. Rice to deliver the commencement address there. Two hundred out of approximately one thousand faculty members at Boston College have signed this ugly petition...

A couple of weeks ago, Jarhead John posted http://tinyurl.com/z2qbd
about Steve Almond, a professor of English who resigned his position because of SoS Rice giving the commencement speech at Boston College.

JJ took a little heat because he critisized this knucklehead for protesting someone of great importance to the United States... I wonder if Professor Almond also protested Jodie Foster...

I doubt it.

Encinitas group targets day-labor site

By: STACY BRANDT -
Staff Writer ENCINITAS ----

The first gathering of the newly formed Encinitas Citizens Brigade targeted a day-labor site Saturday morning on Encinitas Boulevard.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. about 20 brigade members converged just west of Interstate 5 at the entrance of a parking lot frequented by people looking for work. At the time, there were about 30 day laborers and a handful of immigration-rights protesters at the site.

Raw emotions led to several arguments but no fights or citations, sheriff's deputies said.

"No one got out of line," sheriff's Sgt. Chris Serritella said Saturday afternoon. "Everything was very peaceful."

Both sides displayed colorful signs and American flags for passing motorists, many of whom honked or voiced support for one side or the other. Messages varied from "Amnesty, si! racist border bullies, no!" and "Many of us are lawful permanent residents; some are even U.S. citizens" to "Only traitors hire illegals" and "Hiring a day laborer? Say cheese.

"Few workers were hired Saturday, but many people stayed at the site until about 11 a.m, holding up signs supporting immigration rights.

San Diego resident Anthony Porrello said he was there to protest what he considered more than simply a problem with immigration laws.

"Our country is being invaded," he said, while standing across the street from the predominantly Latino men looking for work and the protesters there to support them. "This is not an immigration problem, this is an invasion problem."

Porrello said he has nothing against people who come to America from other countries, he just wants them to do it legally.

"Rewarding illegal immigrants by giving them any form of amnesty is a slap in the face to any legal immigrants," he said.

Much of the anger felt by some of those involved with groups like the Citizens Brigade and the Minutemen is misdirected, said Lawrence Palomo, an Encinitas resident who came out to support the day laborers.

"Why are Americans upset at these people?" he asked. "They're upset because the government doesn't do their job ... The government should have secured the border since 9/11."
(Gotta insert here: The government should have secured the border since 9/11... DUH!)

Luis Fernando, a Mexican citizen at the site looking for work, said he thinks the government should allow the workers to come into the country on work visas.

"We're all here for you, to work in your houses," he said in Spanish. "We're not here to do anything bad. We just came here to work."
(Understandable, his government is corrupt)

Fernando Suarez del Solar, an outspoken peace activist, said he attended the protest to support the working class. "These people here are not criminals," he said. "We need to take a look at who's illegal in this country .... The Pilgrims who came on the Mayflower immigrated illegally."
("These people here are not criminals," OK, They're Entering our Country without permission {Illegally}, working for 'cash under the table' {illegally}, Driving without Driver's licenses {Illeagally} and driving with no auto insurance {Illegally}. Hmmm, sounds like criminal activity to me).

Saul Lisauskas, a member of the Minutemen and vice president of the North Coast Republican Club, formed the brigade after being involved with similar activities at day-labor sites in Vista and Fallbrook. The Encinitas resident said he decided to form a group for that city Monday after hearing President Bush's speech about illegal immigration, which he called "just more rhetoric."

"I'm fed up," he said while waving a sign at passing motorists. "We're trying to do something to wake up the people, because most people are asleep at the wheel."

So far, the brigade has about 35 members, he said, adding that he expects that number to grow quickly.

Before members of the group headed to the site, they met at a nearby restaurant to discuss procedures and rules, which included ignoring counterprotesters and having no contact with the men waiting for work.

At the early morning meeting, Lisauskas explained why he felt the need to form the group.

"Our whole reason for being here is basically this," he said while holding up pictures of protesters in Los Angeles carrying signs declaring California still part of Mexico and a flagpole with a Mexican flag waving above an upside-down U.S. flag. "These are basically a declaration of war.

"They're going to come and take over our country ---- over my dead body," he added.

This is why we speak ENGLISH!

Any Questions?

Thursday, May 18, 2006

For SUES:

5 men waiting for an apology from a woman:

Read My Lips: No New Amnesty; by Ann Coulter

On the bright side, if President Bush's amnesty proposal for illegal immigrants ends up hurting Republicans and we lose Congress this November, maybe the Democrats will impeach him and we'll get Dick Cheney as President.

At least Bush has dropped his infernal references to slacker Americans when talking about illegal immigrants. In his speech Monday night, instead of 47 mentions of "jobs Americans won't do," Bush referred only once to "jobs Americans are not doing" -- which I take it means other than border enforcement and intelligence-gathering at the CIA. For the record, I'll volunteer right now to clean other people's apartments if I don't have to pay taxes on what I earn.

Also, someone must have finally told Bush that the point about America being a "nation of immigrants" is moronic.

All nations are "nations of immigrants" -- as Peter Brimelow pointed out brilliantly in his 1992 article in National Review on immigration, which left nothing for anyone else to say.

Of the "nation of immigrants" locution, Brimelow says: "No discussion of U.S. immigration policy gets far without someone making this helpful remark. As an immigrant myself, I always pause respectfully. You never know. Maybe this is what they're taught to chant in schools nowadays, a sort of multicultural Pledge of Allegiance. ... Do they really think other nations sprouted up out of the ground?"

Brimelow then ran through the Roman, Saxon, Viking, Norman-French, Welsh and Celtic immigrant influences in Britain alone.

Instead of a moratorium on new immigration, I'd settle for a moratorium on the use of the expression "We're a nation of immigrants." Throw in a ban on "Diversity is our strength" and you've got my vote for life.

Bush has also apparently learned that the word "amnesty" does not poll well. On Monday night, he angrily denounced the idea of amnesty just before proposing his own amnesty program. The difference between Bush's amnesty program and "amnesty" is: He'd give amnesty only to people who have been breaking our laws for many years -- not just a few months. (It's the same program that allows Teddy Kennedy to stay in the Senate.)

Bush calls this the "rational middle ground" because it recognizes the difference between "an illegal immigrant who crossed the border recently and someone who has worked here for many years." Yes, the difference is: One of them has been breaking the law longer.

If our criminal justice system used that logic, a single murder would get you the death penalty, while serial killers would get probation.

Bush claimed the only other alternative -- I assume this is the "irrational extreme" -- is "a program of mass deportation." Really? Is the only alternative to legalizing tax cheats "a program of mass arrest of tax cheats"?

This is the logic of the pro-abortion zealots (aka "the Democratic Party"): Either lift every single restriction on abortion or ... every woman in America will be impregnated by her father and die in a back-alley abortion!

Those are your only two answers? Do you need another minute? How about the proposal made on Brimelow's Web site, Vdare.com, that illegal immigrants be told they have two months to leave the country voluntarily and not have their breaking of our immigration laws held against them when they apply for citizenship from their home countries -- or not leave and be banned from U.S. citizenship forever?

Or how about just not giving illegal aliens green cards -- as Bush is proposing -- and deport them when we catch them?

Instead of choosing immigrants based on the longevity of their lawbreaking, another idea is to choose the immigrants we want, for example, those who speak English or have special skills. (And by "special skills" I don't mean giving birth to an anchor baby in a border-town emergency room.)

Why not use immigration the way sports teams use the draft -- to upgrade our roster? We could take our pick of the world's engineers, doctors, scientists, uh ... smoking-hot Latin guys who stand around not wearing shirts between workouts. Or, you know, whatever ...As Peter Brimelow says in his book "Alien Nation: Common Sense About America's Immigration Disaster," why not choose immigrants who are better than us?

Bush thinks it's not fair to favor people with special skills -- a policy evidenced by his Harriet Miers pick. How about this: It's not fair to want to go out with someone just because that person is attractive and has a good personality because it discriminates against people who are ugly with bad social skills!

That's our immigration policy. Press "1" for English; press "2" for a new President ...

The lady does have a way with words! BTW- the smokin' hot latino guy reference thing is all hers...

The Nature of Mexico... Opinion

After spending some time at an orphanage in Tijuana near Tecate, it became apparent that the Mexican people DO NOT view human life the same way Americans do.

At one of many, many orphanages that are scattered about the country, 95 children live in about 12 small homes on the grounds each with a house mom who lives there 24-7. Every one of these children ranging in ages from 2 to 16 was abused mentally, physically, and sexually. An 8 year old and her 12-year-old sister in particular, made a huge impact on me, and I chose to sponsor them both.

Here is their story…

These 2 kids lived with their mom and uncle in Mexicali, Mexico. The mom worked full time, so the girls spent a great deal of time with their uncle. He chose to live a gay lifestyle, and would bring his lovers home to have these 2 young girls watch and participate in his sex trysts. When the Mexican Child Protective services discovered the situation, they removed the 2 girls and placed them in the orphanage, without the possibility of being returned to the parent.

When my wife and I sent the youngest a birthday gift, we were told that the girls had been returned to their mom. Enraged, I asked how that could happen when they had been ‘permanently’ placed at the orphanage, and was told the agent who had placed them was gone and was no longer there to protect the girls. The mother petitioned, and was granted her children back.

Every single child that lives in that orphanage has a story similar to these two young girls, and if one spends any amount of time there, one's heart is ripped in two.

Gawfer's Opinion:

Children are viewed as commodities; to be used and discarded at will by the very people they trust the most... their parents. These girls’s story, though disgusting, is commonplace in a Country with very little moral backbone. It was suggested on another blog that the United States 'just take over Mexico'. To assume that Mexico has anything to offer other than moral and political corruption is totally absurd. Their issues are far deeper than poor leadership, running into the very essence of their nature.

Funny thing is, this is the direction Liberals and the ACLU are attempting to push the US of A, and the Conservative Christians are fighting so vehemently against.

Please do not misunderstand my position; I think it is very important that we as a wealthy Country reach out and help our neighbors, but I don’t think there’s a person in the U.S. that would drive around town inviting every homeless person and derelict they saw to come and live with them.

Opening our borders and granting Amnesty would do this very thing.

Saudis: Oil Prices Will Plummet... Holding my breath....

In fact, he is also warning that oil prices could easily “plummet” in the near future.
As you may know, Financial Intelligence Report, a sister publication of NewsMax and MoneyNews, has already issued the same warning to our investors. We also have revealed how investors can profit from the coming oil price drop – find out more. http://tinyurl.com/hftub

Our track record on oil is impressive. In April 2004, Financial Intelligence Report predicted that oil prices would skyrocket from $29 per barrel to over $60 within 12 months. That forecast was dead on.
Today we feel that oil prices will continue to dramatically fall in the next 12 months to as low as $40 a barrel!
Find out more about our report – http://tinyurl.com/hftub

And please take a moment to read about the Saudi oil minister’s comments on oil reprinted below from the Associated Press.
Thank you.

Unseen 9/11 Video to Be Released

From Little Green Footballs,

Hat tip to 'Jake'

Judicial Watch has obtained video of American Airlines Flight 77 striking the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and they will make it available on their web site early this afternoon. (Hat tip: LGF readers.)

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that Department of Defense will release a videotape to Judicial Watch at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon that allegedly shows American Airlines Flight 77 striking the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. The Department of Defense is releasing the videotape in response to a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act request and related lawsuit.

“This is in response to your December 14, 2004 Freedom of Information Act Request, FOIA appeal of March 27, 2005, and complaint filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia,” wrote William Kammer, Chief of the Department of Defense, Office of Freedom of Information. “Now that the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui is over, we are able to complete your request and provide the video…”

Judicial Watch originally filed a Freedom of Information Act request on December 15, 2004, seeking all records pertaining to September 11, 2001 camera recordings of the Pentagon attack from the Sheraton National Hotel, the Nexcomm/Citgo gas station, Pentagon security cameras and the Virginia Department of Transportation. The Department of Defense admitted in a January 26, 2005 letter that it possessed a videotape responsive to Judicial Watch’s request. However, the Pentagon refused to release the videotape because it was, “part of an ongoing investigation involving Zacarias Moussaoui.”

Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit on February 22, 2006 arguing that there was “no legal basis” for the Defense Department’s refusal to release the tape. “We fought hard to obtain this video because we felt that it was very important to complete the public record with respect to the terrorist attacks of September 11,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Finally, we hope that this video will put to rest the conspiracy theories involving American Airlines Flight 77. As always, our prayers remain with all those who suffered as a result of those murderous attacks.”

Minutemen Standing at attention...

It appears that The Minuteman Blog has righted its wrongs, and has removed the nasty remarks made by some right winged moonbats...

Posted by Texas Fred this afternoon...

Monday, May 15

Again with this 'Fair and Balanced" stuff...

I have a friend that went in 'undercover' so to speak and took a look at the thread on the Minuteman National Blog that contained the posts calling for open revolt against the government of the USA... The posts HAVE been removed and the thread was edited quite a bit...

http://tinyurl.com/mgaz4

It took them long enough to do so, the comments were WAY out of line with the advertised policies of the Minutemen and for a visitor to their blog to be the one that had to hold their feet to the fire was actually pretty ridiculous, but IF I was able to accomplish the removal of those seditious posts, then it was worth being banned from their site...

And to be honest with you, being banned from the Minuteman National Blog is no big deal, it's pretty much populated by loons that spout off every conspiracy theory imaginable, with NO facts or links to ANY of it and those far out conspiracies aren't even challenged, they're just taken as part of the 'big picture' ...

I will NOT address the management of the Minuteman Project in ANY way but I will say this, the Minuteman National Blog is a detriment to the Minuteman Organization in my opinion and it is obvious to most readers that it is ill-managed...

I realize that the Minutemen have an image they try to project and hope to maintain but the immediate image garnered by the casual reader of their blog leaves one feeling that it's best description is "Moonbat Central"...

I know that there are many fine folks that are giving a lot of time AND money to support this organization and I sincerely hope that if you folks read this, you will address it with your leaders, you don't need the negative image that is being projected by the Minuteman National Blog...

As one of my closest friends said, "The place reminded me of Free Republic without the ambiance."...That's bad...

Even retired jarheads can find a friend... somewhere.

Thank God for Children Saying Grace...

Email from a friend...

Last week I took my children to a restaurant My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!"

Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?"

As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my son and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer. "Really?" my son asked. "Cross my heart," the man replied.

Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life.He picked up his sundae and without a word, walkedover and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soulsometimes; and my soul is good already."

Come Home, Mr. President

by Rep. Tom Tancredo
Posted May 15, 2006

President Bush will deliver a televised address to the nation tonight on immigration policy. It is his first address from the Oval Office on immigration, and if it not successful, it may be his last.

In this speech, the President needs to do three things to accomplish his goals. There is a road to consensus and success if the President will take it. It is not only a path to consensus -- it is a path to success for the Republican Party in November.

In his Monday speech, the President needs to make a clear break from previous speeches on the topic and come home to Republican Party principles. He needs to stop pandering to perceived voting blocs and employer lobbies and speak to the one thing all Americans agree upon: No immigration policy is workable without secure borders.

The President needs to speak to the nation as fellow citizens, not ethnic or economic groups, and tell them America will have secure borders that stop all illegal entry into our country. He needs to announce that he will federalize the National Guard in four border states to provide support to the beleaguered Border Patrol. He needs to say this will happen tomorrow morning, not next month or next year.

The second thing the President must do is explicitly separate the priority and necessity of secure borders from all other proposed federal legislation. Secure borders do not depend on a "comprehensive" immigration reform package that includes amnesty and a new temporary worker program. Secure borders are a prerequisite for any new immigration legislation, not a component to be bartered away for increased immigration numbers or new visa rules.

The third thing the President's speech should do is to avoid any mention of amnesty for illegal aliens already in the country. No matter how cleverly he defines his "legalized status" proposal as not being amnesty, it is still amnesty and everyone knows it.

Americans are not in a mood to negotiate the matter of "regularization" for 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens -- and Newt Gingrich has pointed out the amnesty would ultimately legalize up to 36 million -- until they see we have in fact achieved secure borders. Once that is done, once our laws are being enforced, then we can begin to discuss the problem of how to deal with the millions of illegal aliens already living here.

I hope the President and his advisers are perceptive enough to see that this course of action is the only one that will achieve all of his goals. It will unify the Republican Party. It will stop the flood of illegal aliens crossing our borders. And perhaps most importantly, it will point America in a positive direction for immigration policy and set a foundation for future reform. To be sure, it will not solve all of our immigration-related problems -- but it will be a much-needed and long overdue start.

A new beginning is what we desperately need, and the President's speech can do that if it is based on candor, on Republican principles and the priority of secure borders. Anything less will not only not be a new beginning, it may very well be the end of Republican coherence and credibility.

Rep. Tancredo (R.-Colo.) is chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus.

MINUTMAN BLOG NOT PLAYING NICELY

OK, I am an advocate for protecting our borders without prejudice. But when threats of a violent over throw against my nation start popping up on a blog that I'm lending my support to, my support ends. Period.

Our Country is based on some simple principles, one of which is freedom of speech. However, when that freedom jeopardizes the Freedom we enjoy as Americans I'll draw the line. I support the gallant efforts put forth to protect our borders, but I will not be party to or associated with any seditious remarks.

"Spies"

May 12, 2006
by Oliver North

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In a courtyard of the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia is a statue of Nathan Hale, the first American ever executed for spying. In the days before satellites, cell phones and electronic surveillance, young Nathan Hale volunteered to go into enemy territory and acquire the "human intelligence" General George Washington needed to make future war plans. Regrettably, Hale had neither the tools nor the training necessary to allow him to escape back to friendly lines. Captured by the British, legend has it that as Hale stood on the gallows from which he would be hanged, his last words were, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."

The sculpture of Nathan Hale ought to be moved from the courtyard to the front entrance of the CIA headquarters. The move would serve to remind those who pass through the portals of the building how important human intelligence was -- and continues to be -- to our nation in an era when we are threatened by radical Islamic terror and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Unfortunately, this week's new leak of classified information about how the National Security Agency collects signals intelligence is likely to jeopardize a very necessary reorganization of the Central Intelligence Agency. The current firestorm was created by a hyperventilated 11 May 2006 USA Today article, which alleges that the NSA "has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans." Despite the President's assurances that the NSA is "not mining or trolling through the personal lives of millions of innocent Americans," and that "the privacy of ordinary Americans is fiercely protected in all our activities," politicians are already using the most recent allegations as a reason to oppose the appointment of General Michael Hayden as the new head of the CIA. The NSA debate obscures an urgent reality: the CIA desperately needs new leadership and direction...

Once again, the MSM has helped to destroy just a little bit more of our Country by compromising National security... Compromise seems to be there banner of dishonor.

Amazing quote from Anna

"So much attention is paid to the aggressive sins, such as violence and cruelty and greed with all their tragic effects, that too little attention is paid to the passive sins, such as apathy and laziness, which in the long run can have a more devastating and destructive effect upon our society than the others."Eleanor Roosevelt

Don't Close Your Blinds

This is a long read, and sure to raise the dander of any liberal that passes by, but I'm not one to stand by and watch...
The message, regardless the source or verification, has tremendous merit.

Steven R Chandler, CMSgt

The other day, my nine year old son wanted to know why we were at war...My husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My husband and I were in the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to serve and defend our Country again today. I knew that my husband would give him a good explanation. My husband thought for a few minutes and then told my son to go stand in our front living room window.

He said "Son, stand there and tell me what you see?"

"I see trees and cars and our neighbor's houses." he replied.

"OK, now I want you to pretend that our house and our yard is the United States of America and you are President Bush.

"Our son giggled and said "OK."

"Now son, I want you to look out the window and pretend that every house and yard on this block is a different country" my husband said.

"OK Dad, I'm pretending."

"Now I want you to stand there and look out the window and pretend you see Saddam come out of his house with his wife, he has her by the hair and is hitting her. You see her bleeding and crying. He hits her in the face, he throws her on the ground, then he starts to kick her to death. Their children run out and are afraid to stop him, they are screaming and crying, they are watching this but do nothing because they are kids and they are afraid of their father. You see all of this, son....what do you do?"

"Dad?"

"What do you do son?"

"I'd call the police, Dad."

"OK. Pretend that the police are the United Nations. They take your call. They listen to what you know and saw but they refuse to help. What do you do then son?"

"Dad.......... but the police are supposed to help!" My son starts to whine.

"They don't want to son, because they say that it is not their place or your place to get involved and that you should stay out of it," my husband says.

"But Dad...he killed her!! my son exclaims.

"I know he did...but the police tell you to stay out of it. Now I want you to look out that window and pretend you see our neighbor who you're pretending is Saddam turn around and do the same thing to his children."

"Daddy...he kills them?"

"Yes son, he does. What do you do?"

"Well, if the police don't want to help, I will go and ask my next door neighbor to help me stop him." our son says.

"Son, our next door neighbor sees what is happening and refuses to get involved as well. He refuses to open the door and help you stop him," my husband says.

"But Dad, I NEED help!!! I can't stop him by myself!!"

"WHAT DO YOU DO SON?"

Our son starts to cry.

"OK, no one wants to help you, the man across the street saw you ask for help and saw that no one would help you stop him. He stands taller and puffs out his chest. Guess what he does next son?"

"What Daddy

He walks across the street to the old ladies house and breaks down her door and drags her out, steals all her stuff and sets her house on fire and then...he kills her. He turns around and sees you standing in the window and laughs at you. WHAT DO YOU DO?"

"Daddy..."

"WHAT DO YOU DO?"

Our son is crying and he looks down and he whispers, "I'd close the blinds, Daddy."

My husband looks at our son with tears in his eyes and asks him. "Why?"

"Because Daddy.....the police are supposed to help people who needs them...and they won't help.... You always say that neighbors are supposed to HELP neighbors, but they won't help either...they won't help me stop him...I'm afraid....I can't do it by myself Daddy.....I can't look out my window and just watch him do all these terrible things and...and.....do nothing...so....I'm just going to close the blinds.... so I can't see what he's doing........and I'm going to pretend that it is not happening".

I start to cry.

My husband looks at our nine year old son standing in the window, looking pitiful and ashamed at his answers to my husband's questions and he says... "Son"

"Yes, Daddy."

"Open the blinds because that man.... he's at your front door...

"WHAT DO YOU DO?"

My son looks at his father, anger and defiance in his eyes. He balls up his tiny fists and looks his father square in the eyes, without hesitation he says: "I DEFEND MY FAMILY DAD!! I'M NOT GONNA LET HIM HURT MOMMY OR MY SISTER, DAD!!! I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM, DAD, I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM!!!!!"

I see a tear roll down my husband's cheek and he grabs our son to his chest and hugs him tight, and says... "It's too late to fight him, he's too strong and he's already at YOUR front door son... you should have stopped him BEFORE he killed his wife, and his children and the old lady across the way. You have to do what's right, even if you have to do it alone, before its too late," my husband whispers.

THAT scenario I just gave you is WHY we are at war with Iraq. When good men stand by and let evil happen son, THAT is the greatest atrocity in the world. "YOU MUST NEVER BE AFRAID TO DO WHAT ! IS RIGHT! EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALONE!" BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! BE PROUD OF OUR TROOPS!! SUPPORT THEM!!! SUPPORT AMERICA SO THAT IN THE FUTURE OUR CHILDREN WILL NEVER HAVE TO CLOSE THEIR BLINDS..."

Letter written by a Frustrated Husband of a Public School Administrator

As you all listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration there are some things that you should be aware of.

As most of you know my wife is in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at large southern California high school, which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socio economic and income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about--South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc. where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

My wife tells me that 100% of the students in her school and other Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast, free lunch program. When I say free breakfast I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll... but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.

She estimates that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones.

The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids.

She was ordered to spend $700,000 on her department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; her budget was already substantial. She ended up buying new computers for their computer learning center; half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.

She has had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them "Putas"--whores--and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To my conservative friends: I hope you're really proud of how George W. Bush has helped to sell-out this country with his pro-illegal policy. I voted for him too, but on this issue he is a disaster.

To my bleeding-heart liberal friends who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs. Higher insurance, Medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay m ore for tomatoes.

We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will leave and return voluntarily?

There are many hardworking Hispanic/American citizens that contribute to our country and many that I consider my true friends. We should encourage and accept those Hispanics who have done it the right and legal way.

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate... and an American culture that has become so weak and politically correct that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

And another point of view...

Update on the email I sent to Gov. Schwarzenegger

I just received a reply to the email I sent yesterday evening regarding SB 1437. It may not be a lot, but sombody in his office read it and responded. Here is the response:

Thank you for your email to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger regarding SB 1437. The Governor appreciates you voicing your opinion on proposed legislation affecting our State.

The Governor does not generally take a position on legislation until a final bill has reached his desk. The Legislature has until August 31, 2006 to pass legislation and the Governor has until September 30, 2006 to sign or veto proposed bills. You may continue to follow this and any other bill before the State Legislature at the Official California Legislative Website:
http://www.blogger.com/www.leginfo.ca.gov. You can also read legislative messages from the Governor at his website: www.governor.ca.gov.

Again, the Governor appreciates your interest in California's future. An informed and engaged citizenry is important to effective government in our State.

Sincerely,

Office of Constituent Affairs

OK, so it is slightly patronizing, but if enough (?) emails, letters and phone calls reach the Capital, Somebody has to take notice. I guess the difference between Conservatives and Liberals, is the way in which they communicate. OK, I know that's a generalization, but at least I didn't send hate mail.

California Bill Is 'Sexual-Agenda Bomb,' Group Says

By Randy Hall

April 06, 2006

http://tinyurl.com/e7fqe

(CNSNews.com) - Legislation approved Wednesday by the California Senate Judiciary Committee is "a sexual-agenda bomb dressed up as a child-caring Easter egg," a conservative group charged.

SB 1437, which would amend the state's education code by adding the words "gender" and "sexual orientation" to its anti-discrimination policy, would force school districts to "teach school children as young as kindergarten to accept and embrace transsexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality in all its forms," according to Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families (CCF).

This is the letter I sent to Governor Schwarzenegger this evening, and would encourage you Californians to do the same. His email address is: http://www.govmail.ca.gov/

Dear Governor Schwarzenegger,

I would like to voice my opposition to the bill known as SB1437, and encourage you to veto it before the ink dries.

Americans should be recognized for their great accomplishments and heroism, not their sexual orientation.

For example, Mark Bingham is considered a hero on Flight 93, not because of his sexual orientation, but because he acted without regard for his life.

Tom Burnett is considered a hero on flight 93, not because of his sexual orientation, but because he too, acted without regard for his life.

Though these two men had different sexual orientations, they both acted heroically, not because of their orientation, but because they were great Americans and should be recognized as such. Not great heterosexuals or great homosexuals, just great Americans. Period.

Sir, please veto SB1437.

Thank you Sir for your service to our great state of California.

Sincerely,

U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols
By Sara A. Carter, Staff Writer

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are.

According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.

"It's not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be," Mario Martinez said Monday.

"This ... simply makes two basic statements -- that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person."

Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.

This is obsured... The Minutemen are working in a nonviolent mode to assist the Border Patrol, and the Border Patrol sets them up! And when the U.S. is attacked again, (because it's not just Mexicans crossing the border), our own government will be responsible for aiding and abetting the enemy!

3rd post about my recent trip to the Bay Area

OK, I know it's like time delayed... about 4 days, but some things have to process before I can comment with clarity.

Monday morning, the day of the 'Un-American boycott of 2006', my host for the weekend and I set out for a good breakfast. A local restaurant in Antioch, Sylvia's Kitchen, who is known for just about the best breakfasts in the land, and will rival any truck stop decided to close for the day, and to add insult to my injured tummy, she flew the Stars and Stripes. My desire, though I didn't act on it, was to go turn that flag upside down to match her anti-American choice to support criminals in this country. I'll now forfeit those great breakfasts when I'm in town. Too bad.

My generous host then suggested another restaurant that is very popular here on the west coast, Mimi's Café. So off we go hoping that Mimi's is open. Approaching the restaurant, good news: cars in the parking lot... further good news, music coming from the speakers out side the restaurant, and finally... Yes! The door opens and we are greeted by the hostess.

Seats are easy to find and after we settle in, I ask to speak to the manager. My host got a little concerned that I was upset, and he didn't want me to say something that might cause them to 'spit in our food' as he put it. I told him to relax.

When the manager arrived at our table she asked if everything was ok. I said "yes, but I asked you to come to our table so I could say thank you for not honoring the 'great Un-American boycott of 2006". She rubbed my back, and said it was rough, but evidently the General Manager made it clear that he needed to run a business, and if the employees didn't show up on Monday, then they shouldn't bother showing up on Tuesday because they wouldn't be welcomed. Kudos to Mimi's!

The manager also told me her Lead Chef had his green card but was studying to get his citizenship and that she said had earned her respect. Awesome! The way it's supposed to be! But then she followed up by saying it is so difficult and expensive to get American Citizenship, $5,000.00, that most can't afford it.

Well, here's my take:
It isn’t supposed to be cheap and easy! Anything worth while takes hard work and sacrifice, so that when the goal is attained, one has pride, a sense of accomplishment and places a high value on what is earned.

Further, the United States has NEVER been the place for the dregs of the world to gather! Back in the day, to even apply for citizenship, people needed American Sponsors, and were then required to have blood tests to insure no diseases were entering our country.

Here’s a personal note:
Six years ago during a routine check up, my 2 oldest daughters at the time 5 and 7 year olds, tested positive for being exposed to Tuberculosis, and had to endure 1 year each of hideous oral medicine. They will always test positive now, and will never be able to donate blood. Had I known who exposed them, I would probably be serving time right now for at least manslaughter. When we asked the Doctor how this thing could have happened, he said a simple sneeze in the mall, or a hand shake with someone infected is all it takes.

Attaining Citizenship is NOT SUPPOSE TO BE EASY!!! And it never was!
And a wall along with deportation will in fact decrease health issues for Americans not only in emergency room visits, but in exposures to contagious diseases as well!

It was a good few days off though.

Colin Powell exposed as a whiner

Yesterday, while sitting in my car eating my lunch, I was listening to Michael Medved interview SecDef Rumsfeld. MM asked how accurate were the comments of Colin Powell regarding the quantity of troops initially sent to Iraq. SecDef answered very clearly, before the plan was executed, the President in a meeting with the joint Chiefs of staff, asked each one of them their opinion of the war plan, and each one agreed that the manpower was more than sufficient to accomplish the task set before them. SecDef was also in the meeting, and before the plan was executed, according to SecDef, 'ALL WERE ON BOARD' with General Franks' plan.

Once again, someone is using the MSM to bolster their position in the public eye. But in the end, he appears to be nothing more than a highly educated whiner.

Can you say BACKLASH?

One thing that caught my attention is the rising response from Americans: In response to the "Great Un-American Boycott of 2006" people are mailing bricks to their Senators in support of a WALL.

1 Red Brick: $1.50
Postage: about $4.00
Resulting Wall: Priceless

Remarks by the President from the USS Abraham Lincoln

Speech given by the president 3 years and 1 day ago

President Bush Announces Major Combat Operations in Iraq Have Ended

(exerpt)...We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We're bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We're pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime, who will be held to account for their crimes. We've begun the search for hidden chemical and biological weapons and already know of hundreds of sites that will be investigated. We're helping to rebuild Iraq, where the dictator built palaces for himself, instead of hospitals and schools. And we will stand with the new leaders of Iraq as they establish a government of, by, and for the Iraqi people...

Jim Gilchrist, the founder of the Minuteman Project, is considering a run for president in 2008 with the Constitution Party.

Gilchrist has just returned from Florida where he met with the party's national committee.

Chairman James Clymer told WorldNetDaily the party was excited about the possibility of Gilchrist as its marquis candidate.

"Yes, indeed we are interested," Clymer said. "Gilchrist spoke to us last weekend in Tampa and our people asked Jim then if he would be the candidate. We think it would be wonderful if Jim Gilchrist would seriously consider being our presidential candidate.

By Heidi at Euphoric Reality

Today is the much ballyhooed Day Without Latinos......otherwise known as Nothing Gringo Day...officially (yes, as in politically-official) known as the Great American Boycott of 2006: No Shopping, No School, No Work.

Amboy Times has some helpful advice for the title of these strikes/boycotts/stick-it-in your-eye rallies: "I recommend a less confrontational title, perhaps 'Bite The Hand That Feeds You Day' or how about boycotting all the free medical care, schools, and other government services? They could call it 'No Payroll Taxation Means No Government benefits Day' - hmm...a bit wordy, that one...”

Whatever the name, illegal aliens (presumably of Latino descent only, since this is all about THEM, nevermind the hundreds of thousands of illegals from Ireland, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, etc.) intend to show us that THEY are the engine that drives the American economy. They hope to wreak havoc on our economy to prove that we can never live a day without them because "THEY are America."
